The GBL Series Vertical Chemical Pump for Concentrated Sulfuric Acid is designed with reference to the performance parameters of ISG-type centrifugal pumps. It uses specialized cast iron and carbon steel materials tailored for concentrated sulfuric acid applications, combined with an optimized hydraulic model for enhanced efficiency. Featuring a vertical structure with identical inlet and outlet diameters aligned on the same centerline, this pump can be installed in pipelines like a valve. Equipped with an externally mounted premium mechanical seal, it ensures stable operation and is suitable for various industrial scenarios.

Features
1.The pump features a vertical structure with identical inlet and outlet diameters aligned on the same centerline, enabling installation in pipelines like a valve. Its compact and aesthetic design minimizes floor space requirements, reducing construction costs. When equipped with a protective cover, it can be used outdoors.
2.The impeller is directly mounted on the extended motor shaft, resulting in a short axial dimension and a space-efficient layout. The pump and motor bearings are rationally configured to effectively balance radial and axial loads during operation, ensuring smooth performance with minimal vibration and noise.
3.The pump utilizes an externally mounted premium mechanical seal. The rotating and stationary rings are crafted from new-generation hard alloys and ceramics, offering exceptional wear resistance, leak-free operation, and extended service life.

Material
Specialized steel is widely used for handling sulfuric acid with a concentration of 80–100% and temperatures up to 60–80°C. In sulfuric acid within this concentration and temperature range, a protective iron sulfate film forms on the steel surface. Cast iron is unsuitable for fuming sulfuric acid exceeding 100% concentration, likely due to a reaction between sulfur trioxide and silicon in the iron, which causes the cast iron to become brittle. Carbon steel is not suitable for fuming sulfuric acid with a concentration of 100–102%, but it becomes applicable again for acids exceeding 102% concentration, with a temperature limit of approximately 60°C. Dilute sulfuric acid causes significant corrosion to steel—when the acid concentration is around 47%, the corrosion rate reaches its peak. When the acid concentration exceeds 65%, the corrosion rate of steel decreases significantly. However, in the concentration range of 65–80%, it is advisable to avoid using steel and instead opt for lead or other acid-resistant materials for safety.
